新千歳にいます。I’m at the New Chitose Airport Animation Festival! On the 23rd, I’ll be serving as a jury member for the Music Animation Competition. Also, catch me on the 22nd at the Japan Short Film Competition aftertalk, I’ll be presenting my film Burger Satiation.
I’m in Beijing for Feinaki Animation Week, which starts today. I’ll be giving a talk in the Academic Forum — “Reality and Animism: Are Experimental Films and Experimental Animation an Experiment?” — where I’ll share some of my thoughts and practices. I’ll also be doing some post-screening interviews as one of the preliminary selection jurors.
